The Shelter Group has had us complete many of their Brightview Assisted Living complexes.  For each of these projects, we have worked with Shelter Group through the design build process.  This means we are on the project from the electrical engineering stage to putting the finishing touches on the buildings.  These buildings are multiple story, ground up construction that all include an Alzheimer’s wing, independent living wing and a dependent living wing.  These buildings range from 90,000 to 160,000 square feet.

The Chelsea Jewish Foundation, along with Leonard Florence, saw their vision turned into a reality with The Leonard Florence Center for Living.  We created the first ever Urban Green House.  Our team is thankful that they received the opportunity to help bring this Center for Living to life.  The 94,000 square foot building consists of 10 different homes.  Each home is on its own floor and includes a kitchen, a dining room, a living area and 10 private residents’ rooms that each includes a bathroom.  The Leonard Florence Center for living also contains a lobby bakery, a Kosher deli, a day spa, a peace garden, an on-site chapel and a family meeting room that also serves as a library.  One of the most rewarding parts of the job was installing the ALS home that has fully automated controls.  This project was awarded the ABC Excellence in Construction (Electrical over $1 Million) and the AGC Performance Award in 2011.

Sherman Hall was the ground up construction of a new, 10 story, 512,000 square foot, science and medical research building.  It included many labs, classrooms and auditoriums.  We provided all the electrical for the specialty systems which included environmental air control, a lighting control system, a card access system and a security control system.
